Dunco, It was a Looong day. 4 and a half hour drive. Started Drinking at 9 in the morning outside Columbus. The track is a dump ,the Tellers were clearly there for one day, facilities (What facilities) a 2 stall bathroom. I lost money, got shut out numerous times, nowhere to watch the simulcast races, a bunch of slot machines right in the middle of the race book, friggin Iron City beer , etc. , etc. On the bright side we were a group of four Red's fans in a sea of Pirate fans. We also had Kurt Hoover from HRTV stop at our table about 3 times and talk to us about the races and I got my picture taken with the Hansen girls and met Millie Ball and a few cool Pittsburgh people out drinking with us in the parking lot. Hero of Order killed any chance of Hansen winning and he was overbet anyway in my opinion. |
